Hey all,

Just a quick update from the Ronald Mcdonald house Wellington NZ.

My son was born on the 8th November 2009 at 1733hrs, 12 weeks prematurely.

I was transferred up here from my home town of Nelson after going into premature labour on the 3rd November. For the next 5 days I was kept drugged to prevent a full labour. Sadly I haemorrhaged and he had to be delivered via emergency C section. His weight- 1350g.

So everyone knows, we are doing fantastically. Two steps forward, one leap back. I would post photos (cause he is gorgeous), but the wires and tubes may disturb some people.

I will talk to you all again when I can.

UPDATE

As of 2 hours ago I am now a solo mother. Good shit. I will be moving back to Christchurch with my little man as soon as the Neonatal Intesive Care unit has room.

Sebastian is wonderful (and he plays on it), thank you so much for all the well wishes and lovely notes. I will update more when I get my head together.

Had not planned this. And I like planning.

Men, you are stupid. Well some of you. The rest of you just caught up to us females in intelligence.
